What is Geneflora?
Geneflora® is a unique probiotic formula that contains the beneficial bacteria, Bacillus coagulans (L. sporogenes) . Unlike L.
acidophilus, these viable, hardy, heat resistant bacteria are naturally microencapsulated and able to easily survive stomach acid
and reach the intestines where they can thrive and help correct digestive imbalances. These good bacteria also produce
enzymes which help digest proteins, fats, and carbohydrates.
In addition, Geneflora contains the prebiotic FOS (Fructooligosaccharides), a natural, indigestible soluble fiber that feeds and
encourages the growth of good bacteria and promotes normal bowel function.

When should I take Geneflora?
Everyone has numerous beneficial bacteria living in their digestive tracts. However, factors such as stress, pollution, eating too
little raw food, and medications such as antibiotic therapy, steriod-based drugs, anti-inflammatories and birth control pills can
destroy the beneficial bacteria and upset the delicate balance of intestinal flora resulting in a compromised immune system.
This can lead to problems such as chronic yeast infections, allergies, constipation, diarrhea and skin irritations (Lifestyle
Induced Dysbiosis Syndrome - L.I.D.S.). Geneflora® restores healthy intestinal flora which can alleviate these problems. Use it
whenever you are experiencing these symptoms.

Note: It is highly recommend taking Geneflora® Before, During and After Antibiotic Therapy.  After taking a course of antibiotics, it
is recommended to stay on a higher dose of Geneflora ( 2 capsules 3 times a day ) for at least 2 weeks after the end of antibiotic
treatment.

How do I take Geneflora?
Initial recommended dose is 2 capsules, 3 times per day for 2 weeks. Then reduce to a maintenance dose as needed (1-2
capsules twice a day) or as advised by your Healthcare Practitioner. For maximum effectiveness, we suggest using this product
for a minimum of 2 months. For severe symptoms or chronic infections, we suggest taking Geneflora® Plus. If symptoms
persist, consult your doctor.

What are some of the benefits of Geneflora?
  • Geneflora and the Geneflora Family of Products require NO refrigeration and can help:
  • Control Yeast & Candida
  • Regulate Bowel Movements by relieving constipation and alleviating diarrhea
  • Improve Digestion by producing enzymes which break down proteins and complex fats
  • Alleviate Food Allergies
  • Produce B vitamins
  • Restore Energy
  • Strengthen the Immune System
  • Fight tooth decay
  • The bacteria in Geneflora produces B vitamins including B-12 and natural interferon, a potent anti-cancer immune factor.
  • The bacteria in Geneflora, B. coagulans (L. sporogenes) , only produces L(+) lactic acid which lowers the pH of the
intestinal     content and prevents the growth of harmful pathogenic bacteria in the intestines. By contrast, L. acidophilus
produces D(-) lactic acid, which is difficult for the body to metabolize and does not prevent growth of harmful bacteria.²
  • Informal human studies have shown that brushing with Geneflora can clear up painful gum infections, fight the harmful
bacteria that cause gingivitis and greatly reduce the risk of tooth decay.
  • The bacteria in Geneflora helps reduce high cholesterol*

*A study done at the Department of Cardiology, G.B. Pant Hospital in New Delhi shows that total serum cholesterol and HDL to
LDL cholesterol levels were significantly reduced over a three month period in patients taking L. sporogenes .¹

How does Geneflora® differ from L. acidophilus?
Geneflora and the Geneflora Family of Products contain the beneficial bacteria, Bacillus coagulans (L. sporogenes) which is a
spore-forming gram-positive rod. Unlike L. acidophilus, these spore-forming, naturally microencapsulated bacteria need no
special handling (such as refrigeration) and can survive manufacturing, shipping and storage with no loss of viable organisms.
Geneflora® can also easily survive stomach acid and reach the intestines where they can thrive and help correct intestinal
imbalances. In contrast, L. acidophilus does not survive well in stomach acid and delivers fewer living organisms to the small
intestine or loses most of its potency. In fact, according to Hughes and Hillier's 1990 study, Microbiological Characteristics of
Lactobacillus Products., published in the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, of the 16 products they studied which claimed to
contain L. acidophilus, only 4 actually contained any viable L. acidophilus, and 2 of these contained bacterial contaminants.
In addition, Geneflora® and Geneflora® Plus produces ONLY L(+) lactic acid, a beneficial by-product, that is completely and
efficiently metabolized to glycogen ( so it can be easily assimilated by the body ) as opposed to L. acidophilus, which produces a
D(-) lactic acid and is metabolized slowly and in excess can cause metabolic acidosis which may be toxic to the brain.

How to give Geneflora for Pets?
Sprinkle Geneflora for Pets on food or mix into snack or treat (works best with wet food).

• For animals up to 20 lbs, 1 level scoop per day
• For animals 20-50 lbs, 1 heaping scoop per day
• For animals 50-80 lbs, 2 scoops per day
• For animals over 80 lbs, 3 scoops per day

For severe symptoms or chronic infections, we suggest you double the dose for two weeks.
You may need to continue doubling the dose for another week if symptoms persist or consult your veterinarian.

When should I give my pet Geneflora for Pets?
Like humans, all animals have numerous beneficial bacteria living in their digestive tracts. However, factors such as stress,
eating too little raw food, and antibiotic therapy ( as well as other pharmaceutical drugs - anti-inflammatories, anti-fungals, pain
killers, etc ... ) can upset the delicate balance of flora resulting in a compromised immune system. This can lead to problems
such as yeast infections, allergies, constipation, diarrhea and/or skin irritations.
Geneflora for Pets restores healthy intestinal
flora which can alleviate these problems. Use it whenever your pet is experiencing these symptoms - especially when your pet
is taking antibiotics!
