Lactobacillus Sporogenes – A Must with Antibiotics & Chemotherapeutic Agents

“Antibiotics are two edged swords, not to be used lightly, as they are powerful for good, they are also potent for evil”. Besides
allergic and sensitivity reactions Antibiotics and Chemotherapeutic agents produce three main side effects:

• Biological and metabolic alterations in the host.

• Predisposition to supra infections.

Interference with nutrition.

Lactobacillus sporogenes is a must with Antibiotics and Chemotherapeutic agents as:

- It corrects biological and metabolic alterations in the host as it strengthens the normal intestinal flora.

- It produces abundant lactic acid and by competitive inhibition prevents the emergence of resistant strains and

Lactobacillus sporogenes in Aphthous Stomatitis

L. sporogenes is very useful in Aphthous stomatitis and Glossitis, which may be a result of Vitamin B Complex deficiency due to
the denudation of the intestinal saprophytic flora.

Clinical Evidence:

a) L. sporogenes proved most efficacious in the treatment of Aphthous ulcers within 2-3 days.
